Principal Gutierrez's Message

Dear Henry Families,

We hope you had a great three day weekend. If you are still in need to getting access to Aspen Parent Portal, please be sure to contact the school.

Thank you to all the LSC candidates for participating in our virtual LSC Forum this past Thursday. The recording of the forum is in this week's newsletter. Please feel free to watch the recording, if you are interested in hearing from the teachers, the parents and the community candidates. We look forward to the LSC election later this school year and working with our newly elected Local School Council members.

Thank you

Stay well.

Counselor's Corner with Mrs. Garfinkel

Hello Henry Families,

Even though we have been in school almost a month, some students may still need assistance in getting organized. The four keys to students being organized during remote learning are:

1. Creating a Workspace: make sure to find a desk or table to work at, a supportive chair, somewhere quiet and without distractions, your computer, a way to write down notes, and headphones

2. Manage Your Time: Have students print out their schedules with their Google meet codes or create a new school schedule. It’s important to note on the schedule when you’re going to wake up, do your homework, and go to sleep. Your schedule is a helpful tool in tracking when assignments are due too.

3. Take Breaks: Take scheduled breaks when working and plan out when you will take your break and what you will do during the break.

4. Use Your Resources: If you need help with anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers, the administrators, or counselor. We’re here for you whether school is in person or remote!
