Lincoln Elementary School Announcements 3-4-2021

Please be sure to pack a change of clothes & mask in your child’s backpack

Please be sure to pack an extra shirt, pair of sweatpants, a mask, and pair of socks in case of run-ins with puddles and mud at recess, nosebleeds, and /or milk spills at lunch. We have a very limited supply of items to loan, and when we run out, we will need to phone a parent to bring in dry clothing.

2021 SUMMER SCHOOL - COURSE OFFERINGS SNAPSHOT (incoming grades 1-8)

PWSSD provides incoming grades 1-8 students an excellent chance to stay sharp on academic skills over the summer, to explore new interests, and to go beyond the opportunities available during the regular school year. Offerings are subject to changes due to student interest and/or staffing availability, but click here to see a snapshot of the 2021 Summer School Course Offerings.

Cereal Drive for local food pantries

Our Cereal Drive is going strong!

The students at Lincoln Elementary School are learning about the “Domino Effect” of kindness in Character Counts class.

On Monday, March 1st, they began bringing in boxes of cereal for all of the local food pantries, and it's become quite a contest! Once all of the cereal boxes are collected, the winning class will set up all of the boxes in the Lincoln hallway to create a huge domino chain reaction.

Ms. Oftedahl will be accepting donations through Friday, March 12th.

If you are interested in donating a box (or more) of cereal to the LES cereal drive, please send the cereal with your child to school on or before 3/12.

2021-2022 Kindergarten Pre-Registration

If your child is currently enrolled in PWSSD 4-Year-Old Preschool it is not necessary for you to register!

Please take note of the Early Release Days added to the District Calendar

If you haven't already, please take note of the additional two-hour early releases on the following dates (which are all Wednesdays):

February 10, March 17, April 14 & 28, and May 5 & 19.


Elementary schools will dismiss at 1:30pm.

These additional hours will allow for collaboration and planning among staff as well as additional contact time for synchronous students to receive additional support from their teachers.

Quarantine/Virtual School Student Lunches Info

Beginning the week of January 25th, the free lunch pickup for virtual and/or quarantined students will now be on Wednesdays from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. The pickup location will remain the same - Thomas Jefferson Middle School north parking lot, the brown steel door to the kitchen, follow the signs. If you have questions, comments or concerns, contact Clark Blachly at 262-268-5541.

Cold Weather Reminders

Please be sure your child comes to school each day prepared for the weather. Winter coats, hats, and gloves are very important for keeping kids comfortable during recess. Students who choose to play on the snow hills, woodchips, or in the field at recess will be required to have snow pants and boots. Those students without boots and snow pants will be limited to playing on the blacktop only. Recess will be outdoors unless the temperature and/or wind chill drops below 0°.
