My students need five Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablets to blog.
My Students
The middle school students of Miller County R3 School District are enthusiastic and ready to begin using a class blog. The school district is located in a rural, central Missouri farming community. Access to high speed internet is limited due to our location. Therefore, many students only have access during the school day.
As a school librarian in a small, rural school district, I'm constantly looking for ways to expand my students world view. The addition of technology in the school library provides an additional opportunity for student access and learning.
My Project
The Samsung Galaxy tablets will serve many uses in our elementary/middle school library. Students will be able to use them for ebook access as well as access to the many educational apps that are available. Teachers will be able to use with their students for classroom projects as well.
As the librarian, my initial goal will be using the tablets for blogging via the SeeSaw app.Students, 4th through 8th grades, will be blogging about the books they read throughout the school year. Classrooms are already set up for the students with a prompt to be used for the student's response. Reading, writing, and global awareness are my main goals with this project.
