Class Placements for 2021-2022
One of those important tasks is creating classes for next year. As you can imagine this is truly a herculean task. We take input from everyone within NG who knows and works with our kids, plus input from you and do our very best to create cohesive groups of kids.
As this is our first year going through this together ~ let me give you a preview....Because this is such a complex and comprehensive process I have to stick to some pretty firm guidelines:
- We will gather parent input until April 18th. The links will close at noon on 4/18.
- Please know ALL input shared via the links below will be shared with current teachers, next years teachers, as well as all ancillary staff.
- I do not accept individual correspondence regarding class placements. It all needs to go into the links below.
- We do not accept individual teacher requests.
- Class lists will be shared on August 1.
- We do not make changes to classlists after they are published August 1.
Links to Add Your Input to the Class Placement Process
Please know that all information will be considered but may not be honored due to limitations of space and number and learning needs. Class placements are not changed once they are published in August.

St. Louis Area Mass Vaccination Opportunities
All Missouri adults will be eligible to receive COVID vaccination starting April 9. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available for ages 18 and up, and the Pfizer vaccine is available for ages 16 and up.
The state of Missouri and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will open a new mass vaccination program in St. Louis that will be open seven days a week.
The program will launch by April 9 and plans to operate for eight weeks at the Dome at America's Center in downtown St. Louis.
The mass vaccination site will operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Eligible residents will be identified through the state's Vaccine Navigator. Eligible Missourians can register online or by calling the state's COVID-19 hotline at (877) 435-8411.
Save the Date: Forward Through Ferguson April 28
The presentation will be conducted via Zoom. The FTF presenters are David Dwight (Executive Director/ Lead Strategy Catalyst), Karishma Furtado (Data & Research Catalyst), and Brishaun Hamilton (Policy Advocacy Catalyst, YAC).
Please click our zoom link on Wednesday, April 28 at 6 p.m. to join. Please join FTF as we explore one of our lastest community advocacy tools.
NG PTO Community Building Trivia Night!
Make plans to show off your grasp of random information at the 2021 NG Trivia Night.
This is not a fund raiser ~ just a time for NG adults to come together (virtually) and connect.
See this link to register.
Kindergarten 2021-2022 Webpage We launched our Welcome to Kindergarten webpage this week! If have an incoming Kindergarten kiddo and did NOT receive my email Friday about this page, you may not be completely registered. Please reach out to Mrs. Valle in the office at maggie.valle@kirkwoodschools.org. | Allergies? As allergy symptoms resemble those we are monitoring for Covid 19, please let Nurse Pam know if your student suffers from seasonal allergies! | Dogs at Dismissal We do love our furry friends but if you bring them to dismissal, please please have them well under control. We have had some recent close calls since the weather has gotten nicer. |
