Google Hangout Chats... At this time, all EMS/ELA staff should have google chat on their computer (adding the app to your cell will also be helpful when you are out of your classroom). If you need immediate classroom support (such as student removal, cell pick up , etc.) please use chat. Administration and security can be reached immediately.
New this year... In an effort to provide safety and communication during lunch time, please use a pass in order for a student to have permission to come to your room during lunch. The student should bring a handwritten official blue pass to an administrator at lunch and will then be allowed to leave the supervised areas to come to your class. This will minimize hallway wandering and allow us to know where kiddos are if a parent comes to pick them up.
Student IDs... Thank you for your support in helping us ensure that student IDs are being worn at all times in EMS/ELA. In the am, administration is at the front door making sure that students wear their ID in. Starting tomorrow, we will also monitor students coming in to the commons at lunch and send them back to your class to get their lanyard if they are not wearing it.
Cell Phones...Thank you for your VERY CONSISTENT enforcement of our cell policy. Student phones are being turned in to the office and kiddos are getting the message!
Pirate Booty...will start next Thursday 8/22 during CCR. Please follow the below schedule when dismissing students to the Booty. Students must have at least 5 signatures on their CREW card in order to visit the store. An easy way to remember to sign CREW Cards is to ask your students to put them our on their desk at the beginning of each class. Remember that this is a great way to encourage/celebrate positive CREW behavior.
