PES Mid-Week Update

September 8th, A few happenings you should know about

A Surprise Water Shut off

Today, September 8th, the City of Pickerington needed to shut off the building's water supply. Students were given access to bottles of water and bathroom breaks as needed. Our amazing teachers and custodial staff sprang into action to ensure this wrinkle in our day did not affect the learning of our students! The water is expected to be back up and running before the end of the day. Way to go team!

i-Ready testing

Students will take the i-Ready diagnostic to assess their academic strengths and areas needing a bit more attention. Every student will take both a reading and a math version of this test. We will use this information as a piece to help us determine gifted services for students who are in Cohort A or Cohort B. Those students enrolled in our VLA will still be required to take this assessment, but their outcome will not be used for gifted identification. i-Ready tests not taken at school in a secured environment will not be used for gifted identification purposes.

FREE Breakfast and Lunch for all Students
