Our vision is to prepare students to be self-directed learners who are literate, creative, curious, civic-minded citizens who demonstrate civility, order, respect and excellence in school and in life.
Our mission is to ensure the intellectual and emotional growth of every student while promoting civility, order, respect, and excellence. We recognize that each student can and must succeed in an environment enriched with support, encouragement, and accountability.
Dear Parents -
Welcome to The Puma Press! We'll be dropping these in your inbox every Friday to keep the Puma Community connected and up-to-date on news and events at Raymond Park IA and other events in Warren Township. The Puma Press is a great place to connect with this past week’s content and stay up-to-date on school-wide events and initiatives.
We have had a fantastic start to the 2018-2019 school year! It has been my pleasure and honor to welcome back our 600+ students and exceptional staff members over the last week. This year, we are looking forward to increasing our focus on College & Career Readiness and preparation - even though our students are in fifth and sixth grade, there are countless things they can start doing and learning RIGHT NOW to help get them ready for their next steps after high school! We have been collecting college shirts and are excited to start distributing those as incentives and prizes to various students throughout the year!
Additionally, our language arts teachers are utilizing a new curriculum this year. 5th grade is using Wonders and 6th grade is using StudySync. Each of these includes rigorous reading material tied to the Indiana Academic Standards, well-known pieces of literature and nonfiction writing, and an emphasis on the skills needed to show growth in the middle-level grades. In math, we are entering our third year of the Eureka curriculum, which includes complex, standards-based tasks that support our state standards. You can access videos aligned to the Eureka lessons on Youtube!
We hope you will consider joining our PTSA, if you haven’t already. For just $7, you can be part of this vital organization that sponsors numerous events for our students AND families throughout the year! You can email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
We are so excited about the upcoming year at RPIA. Please never hesitate to reach out to myself or any other staff members if you have questions, concerns, or celebrations to discuss!
