Ms. Quick's Class
October 23rd, 2015
This week in Class...
Writing: We continue to work on stretching out the words we want to write and creating a detailed picture that matches those words to help us tell a story.
Math: We finished up Module 3 this week. We worked on identifying numbers that come just before and just after a given number. This was tough for some at first but we worked on it all week and most seem to have grasped the concept! We also worked on identifying left and right.
Science: We spent the entire week learning about pumpkins. The students learned and labeled the parts of the pumpkin. They also learned about the steps a pumpkin goes through when it grows. We ended the week with a pumpkin investigation...measuring it's height, weight, and roundness. We checked to see if it floated or sunk and we cut them open to look inside!
