News from this week

It was wonderful meeting with many of you this past week to discuss your child's progress. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns as the year progresses. I apologize to those of you who had to reschedule on Thursday. If you have not done so already, you can reschedule your conference on the PTCfast system. I sent an email with the information to those affected.

School Pictures will be taken this Tuesday, September 29. Information and order forms were sent home in last week's Friday Folder. If you wish to order pictures, please have your child bring the order form on Tuesday.

Enrichment flyers came home in this week's Friday Folder. If you would like to sign your child up for one of the classes, please do so right away. Registration is done on a first come, first served basis and classes fill quickly.

We will have our Weather and Forecasting test on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Please help your child study as this will be one of the last Science grades of the quarter.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Coming up next week

Reading: We will look at figurative language such as metaphors, similes, and idioms.

Language Arts: We will finish our guided Opinion writing piece and begin writing the unguided Opinion piece. In Grammar, we will be focusing on antonyms and synonyms.

Math: We will continue our Division unit this week, focusing on word problems and interpreting the remainder. Please continue to practice the multiplication facts with your child. It is so critical that they know these well! There are a lot of Math Facts apps available for free that can help and I have several of them listed on my eClass website.

Science: We will have our test on Weather and Forecasting on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Social Studies: We will begin our unit on European Explorers this week.
