PENN PRIDE: we have. we are.

Tell Your Story: family pictures and traditions

From January thru May, we will be celebrating our differences with the theme of Tell Your Story.

We'll kick this off with sharing family pictures and traditions. Each student is being asked to complete these pages over break and return them to their classroom teacher after break. You may attach a family picture or represent your family in some artistic way. Teachers sent home paper copies of this activity, but if you can't find the paper copy, here is another copy you can print.

Coming back to school with COMFY COZY DAY on January 7

We're easing the return to school by having COMFY COZY day on January 7. Let your kids wear their pajamas or their sweats or whatever feels comfortable and cozy.

Planning for 2019-2020

Dear Elementary Families,

The District has developed a comprehensive parent guide for elementary families for the 2019-20 school year. The Elementary Roadmap contains information on the upcoming attendance area changes, as well as a timeline of key dates for things such as Kindergarten Registration, BASP enrollment deadlines, transportation deadlines, and eRegistration.

Please note, for families who are impacted by the 2019-20 attendance area changes, there will be transition opportunities available. Some of these include meeting the new principal, as well as, an open house at each school.

The Elementary Roadmap will be coming home in your child’s Friday Folder in January; however, it is also linked here for your reference. We encourage you to review it, taking note of the information and key dates that impact your family.

Please contact the Educational Services Center at (319) 688-1000 if you have any questions.

The newest info about 2019-20 Elementary Attendance Areas

This week the district sent an email to families who will be directly impacted by boundary changes for next school year. These letters were based on the address on file for your student(s) in PowerSchool. Please make sure you read that! AND make sure your PowerSchool information is correct, so that you are getting accurate information.

Please visit the links below, which provide access to the 2019-20 District attendance area maps and the District’s Attendance Area Look-Up, which provides school information specific for your home address.

Big picture

MediRevv surprised us with a donation to pay off outstanding negative lunch balances. This generous gift supports our commitment to making sure every child gets lunch every day.

Our bins are overflowing. We'll be donating any thing not claimed by winter break.
