Southern Tier Summer Arts Institute

For High School Art Teachers

July 15-18, 2019

This new program has been designed specifically for high school art teachers from the Southern Tier region. A collaborative group of regional art institutions (SUNY-Corning Community College’s Ceramics area, The Rockwell Museum, the Corning Museum of Glass, and the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University) will be presenting a variety of art programming. Each day of the institute will take place at a different location and will feature a variety of hands-on and other activities. Teachers will be presented with experiences and resources to enhance their classroom teaching and network with colleagues at other schools. In addition, new connections to the presenting organizations will be developed to help enrich the art education experience across the region.
