March 19th-23rd
Field Trip on Wednesday
Reminders from the organizer of Feed My Starving Children:
- Wearing clean, close-toed shoes is HIGHLY encouraged, and all jewelry must be removed and/or covered. Hairnets (provided) must be worn by anyone who handles food.
- Soy, rice, and a vegetable mix are the 3 ingredients used in packing, so if there are any *severe* allergies especially to soy, this might unfortunately be an outing to skip (soy dust in the air, etc.) However, for less severe allergies, students are always asked to use plastic gloves to pack, and can also choose other ways of participating than making the meals themselves (ex. making and taping the packing boxes, or labeling the plastic meal bags before they get filled)!
