Kindness Raps in 4th Grade!
Fourth-grade students created Kindness Raps using the technology site Flipgrid just before winter break. They are a great example of integrating technology with character! If you are having a rough day, they are sure to inspire you to feel good about yourself! Go to https://flipgrid.com/35beec to check them out!

Art Show Upcoming!
Dear Region 15 Parents/Guardians:
The Annual Region 15 Art Show will be held on Friday, April 28 (6:00 pm-9:00 pm) and Saturday, April 29 (10:00 am-2:00 pm) in the Pomperaug High School Gymnasium. This show will feature artwork representing students in all grades from kindergarten through high school. It is an exciting way to view the progression of students’ artistic growth and to see the wide range of learning that students experience within the Region 15 Art Department.
The Art Show is one of the various venues where student artwork is displayed. While every effort will be made to show artwork from as many students as possible, we cannot guarantee that every student will have his/her work displayed at the show. Even though a child might not have artwork in this year’s show, every effort will be made to include their work in future shows, and/or at other displays, such as in our public libraries, the Central Office, the Arts Outreach Program, or within the schools.
The Annual Region 15 Art Show also features projected student work in the AP room. The projected images include students at work, individual artwork, and various displays. This digital art show was created in an effort to exhibit even more student artwork. The digital art show will be back by popular demand! On behalf of the Region 15 Art Department, I welcome and encourage all parents and students to attend the Art Show. Literally, thousands of student works will be on display and it is a wonderful learning experience for all who attend.
Come and support our extraordinary students. Enjoy and be inspired by all of their artistic diversity. Please come and understand the deeper purpose of teaching creativity and inspiring imaginations which is imperative to all academic, artistic and humanistic endeavors.
If you should have any questions about the Art Show or any other aspects of the Art Department in Region 15, please do not hesitate to contact me. My office phone number is (203) 262-3258.
Sincerely,
Jane Sarjeant,
