Stranger Danger

Several students at a neighboring school recently reported separate encounters with an individual who approached them uttering inappropriate language. The individual appeared to be in his twenties and have a white vehicle. The incidents occurred in the Kahala area. Police have been notified.

Please take some time to speak with your child(ren) on the importance of remaining safe at all times, including when coming to and leaving school. Have a conversation about what to do when a stranger approaches them, or how to avoid those situations as best they can. For those who walk to/from school as a family, you may also want to discuss students not running ahead out of sight or out of hearing. For those students who walk alone to/from school, you may want to discuss a safety and communication plan.

Friendly Reminder - no school Monday!

Our second and final professional collaboration day is on Monday, April 17. The school office will be open but no classes that day.
