The Black Plague

The Bubonic Plague

Cause and Summary

The Black Plague is highly contagious and can be caught by breathing the same air as an infected person. It can be identified by bloody coughing and black boils on the skin. This disease is very deadly and once infected, you are sure to die. This disease was once very popular in Europe during 1347-1352. It took almost 25 million lives at that time.

Prevention and Treatment

The best way to prevent infection is by staying in isolation, so there is no way to come in contact with the infected. There is still no cure for this disease, so we can not help the people who have the disease. Thankfully, The Black Plague is almost extinct, for we have not seen any signs of it since the 1500's. Let's keep it that way.
