PLEASE NOTE
Time is Running Out
Don't miss out!
Time brings changes.
I am very concerned about next year. I know that you are used to registering your child/children a few weeks before school starts in the fall. And you can do that again this coming year. However, if you are like me, you like to save money. If you register this month, before the deadline, it will save you a substantial amount of money in the registration fee as well as your next years monthly tuition cost.
Also, and this is VERY IMPORTANT, those of you who are having a challenge with meeting your financial obligations each month, and would really appreciate help with next years tuition, need to make an application for assistance to our Cicero SDA Church. You need to contact Pastor Clark RIGHT AWAY. There is money to be given to help you. There is a deadline for this application. April 1st. There is money available, but you must apply by the first of April. Soon after that the scholarship money will be awarded. And my understanding is that when it is gone, it is gone. You cannot wait until August for this assistance. So, if you have a need, or think you will, please get in touch with Pastor Clark right away. PLEASE!
We have been having a very good year at our school. I am thankful for each student here, as well as for Mrs. Fults and Mrs. Hasty, and our volunteers. I am especially thankful for the Lord's presence and protection. It has been a long Winter. That being said, it doesn't seem possible that it is nearly Spring Break! Not this week, but next. By the way, because it is a Friday before a major vacation, school will be dismissed at 12:00 noon, rather than 12:30 this Friday.
I am remembering when my own two children were in church school in Tucson, Arizona, where I am from. There was a sign in the school office which read "Christian Education is not expensive, it is PRICELESS!" I believe that is true. If I had it to do all over again, I would make the same choices, as far as where my children went to school. Tithe and offerings always came first out of any paycheck. Then the church school tuition. After that the mortgage, insurance, car payment, etc. When I think of my salary back then, the Lord just made it stretch, is all I can say. There was always enough for our needs to be met. Not the wants so much, but the needs. And our SDA Church School was a need, to me. I have never been sorry I made the sacrifice.
We hope you will pray about this important matter. We, as a staff, as well as our church and school board members hold each of you up in prayer. The decisions you make for your children now make a tremendous difference to them in the years ahead, not to mention eternity.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Karen Olson
P.S. Visitor's Day is this coming Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:30. If you know of a school age student who would like to visit, please have them call the office or me.
