Neil The Hero
As you all know by now Neil Armstrong has died in Cincinnati, Ohio August 25, 2012. Many people see as Neil as a hero but why? Neil Armstrong was fascinated by flying so he became interested in aviation. He even got his pilot license first than his drivers license. Neil also was part of 78 air missions in the Korean war as stated in the article Saying Goodbye to an American Hero: Neil Armstrong in the third paragraph and the fifth line. Neil Armstrong was then offered to be the post commander of the Apollo 11 and in 1969 he became the first man on the moon. Also This became the most watched historical event in the television and was fascinating to watch.
One step
Neil's most famous words on the moon was "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind." Fun Fact: while the event was broadcast no one heard a man, they all heard man only.
War
Neil Armstrong was also in 78 flight missions in the Korean War.
Moon Walk
The fist person on the moon was Neil and the picture of his first footprint is the most remembered and known picture from the Moon.
An Honest Hero
Even though he is famous he really doesn't think that he is a hero. He claims that he was just doing his job. According to the article Saying Goodbye to an American Hero: Neil Armstrong on paragraph 15 first line it states Armstrong's family remembered the former astronaut as "a reluctant American hero who always believed he was just doing his job." This shows that he is honest because he didn't care about fame but what he loved.
