COVID VACCINES FOR STUDENTS AGES 5-11
The COVID-19 vaccines for administration for ages 5-11 were approved last week. Franklin Public Schools is partnering with Life Change Pharmacy to hold two COVID-19 vaccine clinics Tuesday, November 9th, and Thursday, November 11th from 4:30p-7p in the Commons at Forest Park Middle School. We have a few open slots still open at this time. Please CLICK HERE to sign up. If you have multiple children that you would like to sign up for the clinic, you will need to complete a new form for each child. Please note that this is the first shot of a two shot series, so your child will also need to be able to attend a clinic three weeks later to receive their second vaccine. We will continue to look to offer more opportunities like this in the future.
In order for your child to be able to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) in youth ages 5-11, the following must be completed:
Parent/guardian must review the Vaccine Information Fact Sheet
Questions 1-11 on the Vaccine Information Record form must be filled out
The Consent of Minor form must be signed
If you have any questions about whether or not to have your child vaccinated against COVID-19, please contact your child’s primary health care provider to discuss.
TRADITION HERE AT ROBINWOOD
In order to showcase the many cultures that make up our Robinwood Family, we will again be displaying a Cultural Tree in the lobby outside of the library. We are asking interested families to donate a decoration to be placed on the tree. This item can be either purchased or handmade. It should however depict a part of your culture or native country. Please place any decorations in a bag with a note as to what holiday and country they represent. We will then label the items with a tag stating that information. These items will not be returned, they will be kept to be reused in following years.
Also, in keeping the spirit of giving alive, we will be having a New Hat and Glove/Mitten Drive. The items can be for children or adults. When the drive is over we will donate them to needy families in our community. You may begin to bring in your items after the Thanksgiving Break (Tuesday, November 30th up until December 16th.The items can be sent with your child or dropped off in the office.
Thank you for helping us continue our tradition!
CLOTHES NEEDED FOR THE HEALTH ROOM
We are in need of size 5 & 6 girls and boys gently used pants for the Health Room. If you can donate please send in yoga pants for girls or sweat pants for boys (no jeans please).
Thank You!
PLAYGROUND USE AFTER SCHOOL
MASK REMINDERS
As we continue to require masks for students, please remember the following:
It’s a good idea to wash your child’s mask frequently, ideally daily if possible.
Please ensure that your child has a few masks to rotate throughout the average school week
Please send an extra mask in your child’s backpack in the event they need another mask
When choosing masks for your child, please look for masks that have 2 or more layers of breathable fabric, cover their nose and mouth, fit snugly across the sides of their face, and don’t have gaps.
If you need help with getting additional masks, please contact the school’s main office.
