My grandmother, ZhangBin' life

by Emily

She was......

My grandmother, ZhangBin born in a small city called Fushun (Dongbie), on 15, 1951 June. In 1960, Fushun was hit by a flood, and her house was absolutely destroyed. In 1966, The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution began in China, and Mao invited all the students in every city to Tian Anmen square to visit him. My grandmother went there, too. She saw Mao waving his hand to the students, so my grandmother was so excited by that, she could never forget that moment. In 1968, my grandmother was about 17 years old, she left her school and went to the countryside to work. Because of the Cultural Revolution, she did farm work for about 6 years. She said there wasn’t enough food to eat, and she had a lot of work to do, but she just get a little money, so she was overworked and overwrought. After my grandmother came back from the country side, she married my grandfather and had my uncle in 1976. She started to work in a water works company. And at that time she also helped my grandfather at the TV station in Fushun. 3 years later, my mother was born, but my grandmother didn’t have enough money to pay my mom’s school, so my grandmother worked hard with my grandfather. So, that’s all the important things of my grandmother’s life!

My grandmother was like......

I think my grandmother’s life is just like an egg, she started with soft and became harder and harder. That is because she born in a healthy body and worried nothing, and now she had a lot of work to do, but she always had hope.
