Dear Young Parents,
I hope this message finds you well. As we navigate another academic semester of the 2023-2024 school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued partnership in the education of our students.
Your unwavering support plays a crucial role in creating a positive and enriching learning environment for our children. It is through collaboration between parents, educators, and the school community that we can truly provide the best possible educational experience for every student.
Your involvement, whether through attending parent-teacher conferences, participating in school events, or supporting your child's learning at home, contributes significantly to their overall success.
Together, we are building a foundation for lifelong learning, personal growth, and success.
As we move forward in the school year, I look forward to strengthening our partnership even further. We have exciting plans and initiatives ahead, and your involvement will undoubtedly contribute to their success.
Thank you once again for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. Your partnership is truly appreciated, and we are dedicated to ensuring a positive and enriching educational journey for every student at Young.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
Together, let's make this academic year a memorable and successful one for our students.

Keep Decatur Beautiful Challenge
We are competing with the other DISD campuses in the "Keep Decatur Beautiful Challenge." We will compete to see which campus can collect the most plastic film products by weight. The campus that collects the most plastic film at the end of the school year will be rewarded with a Green Campus Trex bench.
The challenge starts now until May 10th, 2024.
The collection container is located outside of the library! Bring your plastic film recycle pile to Young! Help us win!!
