Zearn and Teach Your Monster to Read
Zearn starts with the beginning of the year module and progresses to the current module (3) as the students advance. Teach Your Monster to Read has two options- Teach Your Monster to Read is for beginner skills (sounds, blending, segmenting), and Teach Your Monster Reading for Fun is for students who can read fluently.

Holiday Celebration
Gift Raffle!
We only have two weeks left before our Winter Break!
On December 22nd, we will be having a holiday celebration in our class, and we will be exchanging gifts. The gift should not exceed $5. Boys should bring gifts for boys, and girls should bring gifts for girls. Gifts will be raffled among the students who complete the form below.
I kindly request you to fill out the two questions on the Google form provided below before December 15th. Gifts can be sent out starting from this Thursday.

Winter Performance Information
Hello parents,
Biomedical is excited to announce our first-ever winter holiday program!
Each grade level will represent a different holiday and culture celebrated during the holiday season. To make this event a success, we kindly ask our families for donations of props, decorations, and costumes. If you're interested in donating, please use the wish list provided to purchase an item.
The Winter Performance will be held on December 14 at the UTSW/EEF Auditorium. We are looking forward to seeing families there!

Reminders
- Dismissal Plan: Please contact the school office for any last-minute changes and notify me via Class Dojo.
- Excuse Notes - It is mandatory to submit an excuse note for every instance of your child's absence. Please ensure that you provide a valid reason for the absence in the note. Parents must submit an excuse note within three days of their child's absence. Please send an email to Ms. Hernandez or a hard copy to Mr. J. Gonzalez.
- Extra change of clothes: You may want to consider packing an extra set of clothes for your child to keep in their classroom in case of spills or other emergencies.
Uniforms
I would like to remind you to review the uniform policy and ensure that your child is wearing appropriate uniform and footwear. This is to ensure their safety as improper shoes can lead to injuries.
Homeroom teachers will begin contacting families regarding this topic to better understand individual needs.

Crocs are not allowed as part of Dallas ISD uniform policy.
As the temperature drops, we kindly request you to label all layers of your child's clothing. Please write your child's name on the tags of their jackets or sweaters. This will help us in ensuring that no clothing items are misplaced and can be returned to your child.
