Learn More about Higher Order Thinking

Choose 1 of the HOTS topics to explore and discuss in Edmodo:

  • Creating Non-Linguistic Representations
  • Encouraging Innovation
  • Questioning Strategies

Take a few minutes to look over the resources, and then add notes and replies. Your notes should:

--Point out something from the resources that you might use in your class. (Explain how you would use it.)

--Ask a question about something from the resources.

--Etc.

A Collaboration Activity

A. Form a group. Assign one person from your group to go to each of the follow locations when instructed:

  • Library
  • School
  • Home
  • Starbucks

B. Make a plan for Collaboration. (You might want to talk about a tool you've used today that would help you collaborate if you were in different locations.)

C. Watch Edmodo for your Assignment.

Turning Up the H.E.A.T. on the Collaboration Activity

Now, turn up the H.E.A.T. on your own Lesson

Look over both of your lessons, and rate each for H.E.A.T.

Choose 1 of your lessons to focus on, to "turn up the H.E.A.T."
