Parent Communication during Summer
Thank you for giving us feedback!
We had an excellent rate of return on the survey to date! If you haven’t had a chance to complete the survey, it is still open! Here is the link: Virtual Learning Survey
How will I know what school is going to look like in the fall?
We are currently planning to be at school in the fall! We are also making plans to be prepared for other options should they be needed. We have already begun buying health and safety equipment, and implementing sanitizing protocols. Additionally, we have purchased more chromebooks to make sure we have a 1:1 for all students in grades 3-8. There is much more information needed, much more work to be done, and much more planning to take place. Our guidance for closing on March 13th was clear at the State and County level but the guidance for re-opening is currently far less clear and inconsistent across the region.
We plan to communicate with you throughout the summer. We have tentatively set the following dates for parent communication via email:
Wednesday, June 24, 2020
Wednesday, July 15, 2020
Tuesday July 28, 2020 - We will host a parent Q & A session from 10:00 am-11:00 am.
Please note these dates are subject to change should we get guidance/information that needs to be shared at a different time.
As we get closer to the school year we will hold more informational sessions. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. We welcome your questions as we work to provide the best possible education for your children.
Will there be options for Summer Learning?
We plan to host some individual and partner tutoring sessions in July . In August, we plan to host our regular summer learning “boost groups'' composed of 4-5 students per teacher working on specific learning goals. We will be in touch if your child qualifies for these groups.
We are here. If you have any questions or need anything, please reach out to us.

Summer Bucket List
Dear Parents,
Thank you all for attending the "Goodbye - Drive By" today. It was great to see all of you before summer break. I hope you have a relaxing and fun summer. I think if you do the Summer Homework of completing the Summer Bucket List as indicated on my sign during the Goodbye - Drive By, you should have a super fun summer. If you did not see my sign or parents are looking for my list, check out the Bucket List here.
Students that bring in a completed bucket list at the beginning of next school year will receive a prize.
Stay healthy and have fun,
Dr. Kriewaldt

Erin School Community Garden
Are you able to give an hour or so of your time to our Erin School Community Garden?
Please consider adopting one of our garden beds!
Garden beds are available for adoption in 4K/5K through 8th grade.
We are looking for families to offer their time just once (May-September) to help with the maintenance of the garden beds. You are welcome to come at any time on the day you sign up (whatever works best for you).
- Items to plant will be provided and will be placed by the bed you adopt.
- A wheelbarrow will be provided on weeding days so that waste can be brought to our compost bins (middle school playground by treeline).
- Please bring gloves and any small gardening tools for planting and weeding the bed you will work in.
Thank you for your contribution to our Erin School Community Garden!
