Plan to stay and support students as they perform dances recently learned in PE. Hope to see you there!
2019-2020 Teacher of the Year
Mrs. Dudley is Oak Grove Elementary's 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year. She has been teaching for 17 years and at OGE since 2013 teaching Kindergarten. When asked what does she enjoy the most about teaching at Oak Grove, she stated “I love my students! I love to see how much they grow as a learner and person throughout the school year. I also work with a great team of teachers who make teaching fun and are so supportive.” When not teaching, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family. Oak Grove Elementary is lucky to have Mrs. Dudley as our 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year.
Congratulations Mrs. Harmon
Every Day Counts
From the Parent Liaison:
October! It is hard to believe how fast this school year is passing. One fourth of our school year is over!
With that being said, did you as a family set any goals for this school year? If you did not, it is not too late! Goals help us strive for something and keep us focused. They can be short term (I am going to help my student learn to tie their shoes) or they can be long term (I am going to have my student to school on time every day). I would love to hear some of your goals and what you are doing to accomplish them!
Thank you to everyone who came out to walk an hour for our first community Walk the Track Day! If you missed it, come out on Saturday, October 19th for our next Walk the Track Day! We will start at 8 am again and walk until 9. Again, the school building will be closed. Park out front and enter the gate to the left of the school and join in the fun!
Also, a huge thank you to everyone who came out for our first Read-A-Thon! I love seeing our families come together and engage in learning! What better way to show the importance of reading than by letting your child see you read!
Be looking for more family engagement opportunities coming soon! Together we can help your child succeed! If I can be of any assistance to you, please email, call me, or just stop by my room!
