Mindfulness Project
Dear Parents,
In support of the health and well-being of our students, the Health Council is promoting student participation in the Mindfulness Project. All students in grades 5-8 are welcome to attend the Thursday morning sessions beginning next week January 9 at 8:15 AM in the Innovation Lab. Additional sessions are scheduled for Thursday mornings January 16 and January 23. We are grateful for Mrs. Katie Huber, RYT-500, RCYT, and Mrs. Tara DeCapite, Certified Meditation/Mindfulness instructor, who will lead our mindfulness practice. If your child(ren) in grades 5-8 are interested in attending, please let Mrs. Rice know at jrice@resstpaul.org or 410-461-9111, ext. 261. Thank you for supporting the safety, health and wellness of our school community.

Host Families Still Needed
We currently have five RSPS families who are graciously opening their homes to host Chinese students in February. We are looking for two more families who can host students from February 2nd-February 7th. It is a wonderful experience where you can share your family traditions and weeknight craziness, and, at the same time, learn about the Chinese culture from these students. The 11 and 12 year old students are traveling here without their families over their winter break because they are eager to learn what family life is like in the US, as well as practice their English and experience schooling in America. The students will be shadowing in 4th, 5th and 6th grades, but you do not have to have a student in these grades to open your home and your hearts. Please consider becoming a host family – it is an amazing opportunity for your whole family! Curious, but have lots of questions???? Please reach out for more information by contacting our host family coordinator – Sharon @ 410.507.9191 or greygal08@gmail.com
