Bearcat Praises
First, thank you all so much for the great job you did with parent conferences. I know that it wasn't a perfect system on Thursday evening but it was significantly better than what we did last year. I also appreciate the time you all took to make sure the students were involved in the conference. I heard some great conversations being held with both students and parents. That is such a great life skill for our students to have in being self reflective and taking responsibility for their own progress and growth.
Thank you Ms. Nisbett for all her hard work helping organize our various events on campus the last two weeks. From picture day to the in/out burger night, she has done a great job making sure everything is taken care of and even stood out in the cold to make sure everyone got their meal tickets!! What an awesome asset to PPIS she is!
Thank you so much to Mrs. Woodard and Nurse Loftis for taking the lead and making sure Ana had a happy bridal shower :) It was also great just getting everyone together and celebrate one of our own!
I thought this was pretty neat the other day and it really was a great example of what we call a fast llama...but Mrs. Stevens was staying late after school last week because she had wanted to put together binders for her team in a different format than what they had done in the past to help them organize their Sharon Wells material. It was just a great example of her seeing a problem and finding a better solution to help support her team. They really have things rock'n and roll'n down in 3rd grade and I have no doubt it's because Sara does such a great job being an excellent team leader!
Thank you all for some interesting and productive learning walks. There are two reasons why we do these. The first is obvious which is to get some ideas to take back to class but then also just to get to know each other. We are still in that "get to know you" phase as a campus so it's good to take opportunities to branch out and leave your grade level bubble for a while! I hope you all found them enjoyable and productive as well!
