Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Anthony Santillo

Meet Our Staff

Every week we will shine a spotlight on one of our own amazing staff members. Meet Mr. Anthony Santillo. Mr. Santillo is our Special Education Resource Teacher.

How long have you been teaching?

I have been teaching 5 years. Prior to coming to Hometown, I was a 5th grade resource teacher and a high school special education teacher.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would travel to Italy. I have family living overseas and my grandparents were born there as well. I would like to visit their hometown.

What is the best thing about working at Hometown?

The best thing about working at Hometown is the staff. Ever since arriving the staff has been nothing but wonderful to work with. They are so welcoming and dedicated to their students.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is pizza. I can eat pizza for every meal and never get tired of it.

Who do you admire and why?

I admire my grandparents. They are in the late 80’s and are still living life to the fullest through travel and work. When I am there age I would like to have their youthful energy.

If you see Mr. Santillo around our school make sure you say hello!!!

We are looking forward to our Halloween festivities on Friday, October 29th. Students will be allowed to dress up for the morning as it is a half day of attendance. We ask that students do not bring weapons. Please also make sure your child can move freely in their costume and are able to safely get on and off the bus if your child is a bus rider. We will conduct a parade weather permitting.

If your child would like to order an extra milk at lunch, they must have a positive lunch balance and will be charged $0.60. Similarly, they can order an extra lunch, however will be charged $2.95. You can always add money to the lunch card via Skyward. If you need additional help, please contact the office.

Picture Retakes

We will host picture re-takes on Wednesday October 20th. Students should have received their first set of pictures. If your child will be retaking their pictures, they must return the first set.
