A Note from Mr. Ritter
I hope that this note finds you warm and well! The second half of the school year is off to a fast start! Kids have settled back in nicely after winter break and are making the most of this string of indoor recess days.
As you many of you have seen, we have made some tweaks to the COVID notification process. We are no longer performing individual contract tracing within classrooms, instead we will be reporting classrooms where positive cases have been confirmed. While we know that not every runny nose equals COVID, we are still asking families to be proactive when symptoms (runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever etc.) are present. If your child is not feeling well, please do your best to keep them at home until you see symptom improvement. Staying proactive will help cut down on the spread of all germs within the building and hopefully keep staff and students in the classroom.
We understand and respect that people are experiencing COVID fatigue (we are too) but I want to ask for your continued kindness, understanding and partnership as we continue to navigate what seems to be an ever changing pandemic. Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding. Have a great weekend!
Shawn

January's Shop for Cause!
Propello Life is honored to be January’s business for Bailey Elementary’s Shop for a Cause. I’m Duke Armstrong, and with my wife Jen, we have a second and fourth grader at Bailey (and one who graduated from there last year). We couldn’t be happier with the community at this school!
You may know us as the house with all of the boxes in our garage, and that is literally how we started our business. I used to work for multiple sports nutrition companies before going on my own health journey. Once I started on my own personal health journey, I realized the world was missing healthy nutrition products that had ingredients I felt good about putting in my body (and giving to our kids). That is how Propello Life was born. Jen and I have been working hard for over five years now, and we graduated from working out of our garage into moving into a warehouse over by Costco!
All of our products are all-natural, non-GMO, gluten free, free of anything artificial, and made with the highest quality ingredients. We offer Collagen, grass-fed Whey and Vegan proteins as well as Rejuvenating Aminos, two pre-workout options (Energy+Focus and Pre-Workout), and a protein infused peanut butter.
I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about our products or anything health and fitness related!
For Shop for a Cause, we are happy to give you 10% off your purchase and donate 20% of every purchase back to Bailey with the code BAILEY. This offer is good through the end of the month.
We offer free shipping on orders over $50 and free local pickup option from our home if that is easier!
Thank you to everyone for your support!

School Counselor Update
Bailey Playground Update!
We are excited to announce that the District Playground Committee is recommending a plan that will support the replacement/upgrading of elementary playgrounds throughout the district. After evaluating all of the elementary school playgrounds, Bailey has been identified as the highest priority for replacement. This means the district is expected to approve and fully fund a new playground for Bailey in the very near future!!!
A timeline and details of this replacement is still in the works, but we are hopeful it could happen in 2022 or 2023. As more details come out, the PTO will be sure to let the school community know. Exciting things are happening at Bailey!
The Bailey Book Club!
It is easy to join! Simply complete the yellow form that comes home around the month of your child's birthday and send in a check for $10.00 made payable to 'Bailey Elementary PTO' with 'Bailey Book Club' marked in the memo section. Send the form back in with your child to give to Mrs. Dziedzicki in the media center! Your child will then be able to select a new book specially purchased for Bailey Book Club members! It's fun, it's easy and it's a great way to add to our wonderful library!
