Parent Teacher Conferences

Thursday, September 10th is the date of our Fall Parent-Teacher Conference. SHS will be open from 3:30-6:30 p.m. to allow parents to meet with their student's teachers. We will have a free spaghetti dinner and several informational tables.

There will be a table in the Commons for Canvas, Harmony, Guidance, Mid America Science Park and Work Ethic Certification. There are informational tables at New Tech for Echo and Community Service.

We hope an increased number of parents and students will participate in this valuable opportunity.

Club Fair

This past Tuesday, September 1st we held a club fair during advisory. Eighteen clubs/organizations set up a table and shared information about themselves. Students filtered through the club fair in increments throughout advisory.

Scottsburg High School administration, faculty, and staff encourages all students to get involved in extracurricular clubs and sports. It is not too late to join clubs this school year. Our first advisory club day is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2015.

Remembering - September 11th

SHS will have a special service organized by our Student Council honoring 9/11. This service will include a speaker, songs and a moment of silence. We hope that students will learn from the experience and honor our fallen.

The Warrior Football team will be playing that night as well. We will honor our active service men & women before the game. Active military personnel that wear their uniforms will be admitted at no cost. The team would be honored if they join them on the field before the game. The game will start at 8:00, so we would encourage our active personnel to be there by 7:30.

Picture Day is September 9, 2015

Our school picture day is Wednesday, September 9th. On this day all students will get their picture taken for the yearbook as well as their SHS ID Card. Order forms were distributed during advisory on August 27th. If your child did not receive one, please have them pick it up at the office.
