Principal Update - Shawn Almond

We are off to a great start! It was an exciting first day with our seniors arriving early for senior sunrise and walking into the building to see the new completed construction. Open House will be this Monday, August 14th from 5:30 - 7:00pm. This is a come and go event where you will be able to meet the teachers and see what your student will be learning this year. Please have your student share their schedule with you or go to parent access for their schedules.

We appreciate your support and I look forward to seeing everyone Monday.

Class of 2024 - Your Senior Year!

Senior Dues $150 – available July 16, 2023 until January 31, 2024
* Includes one prom ticket, one senior t-shirt (fall), and one senior picnic ticket. Payments can be made online through SchoolCashOnline.com

Prom is Saturday, April 20, 2024 and Graduation is Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. More details to come.

Student Parking

Students are not allowed to park on campus without a current hangtag. No exceptions.

Parking registration for Seniors and Juniors will continue as spaces are available. The fee for parking is $75.

To register do the following:

1. Go to orhs.conroeisd.net (Computer required, do NOT use phone)

2. Click on STUDENT PARKING.

To access the parking registration, you will sign in using your student's username and password. Please note that students must have a current driver's license and insurance to complete their registration.

No Food Deliveries

Just a reminder, for the safety of our students, NO OUTSIDE DELIVERIES FOR FOOD WILL BE ACCEPTED. The delivery will be refused. Only lunches brought in by family members and signed in will be accepted. Students will not be sent passes to pick up their food.

ROTC Cadet Basic Training Graduation

Help Build a Guiness World Record Mum

Help ORHS break the world record for the largest MUM! This is a project to unify ORHS students in a shared goal and to inspire them to reach for difficult goals. We will need supplies donated to complete the project. We will create mum flower from plastic tablecloths. We need 1670 rolls of 9ft ribbons. we encourage any student, present or former, to donate old Homecoming mum's to be tied into the giant mum. This will allow the ORHS family to participate in the record-breaking mum.

Freshmen: blue ribbon and blue plastic tablecloth

Sophomores - red ribbon and red plastic tablecloths

Juniors - white ribbons and white plastic tablecloths

Seniors - gold and silver ribbon

Corporate sponsors are welcome. If you have a contact for a construction crane, we need one to hoist the mum above Woodforest Stadium for our game on 10/27.

We will invite the Guiness Book adjudicator to measure the mum at the Homecoming Parade on Oct. 25.
