We have entered into the second semester of 1st grade........ and that means it is time to prepare for 2nd grade. As of Friday January 17th, your child has completed 100 days of school. My expectations for each child and for my class as a whole will change from this point on. Students know that it is important to complete and turn in their work in a timely manner, to put their names on their work, and to follow the rules of the classroom and of the school. It is extremely hard for me to consider promoting a student to the next grade level when they can not follow rules and expectations of 1st grade. Work is to be completed and turned in on time. Failure to do so, will result in a deduction on 5 points and the student will have to finish the assignment at home. If the work is not returned the following day then additional points may be deducted. Homework is expected to be turned in each morning before class begins with the exception of spelling squares. Five or more points will be deducted for work not turned in on time. Such deductions and notations will be documented in RenWeb. If your child has an INC as a grade that means that they may be redoing an assignment or that they have failed to turn in the assignment. Please look over RenWeb with your child and discuss missing work. We are moving fast and have a lot to learn this semester. Amble time is given in class to complete each assignment. We do not have time to make up work that is not completed on time.

If you have any questions regarding this matter please let me know and I will be glad to meet with you.
