"Being Safe This Holiday Season"
The holiday season is upon us! I know each of you are excited about spending time with your family during the Thanksgiving holiday. As you plan to gather and enjoy great food, I encourage you to exercise safety.
We are committed to keeping our students and staff safe. For this to continue, we are asking our school community to properly wear their masks, thoroughly wash their hands, and socially distance whenever you leave your home or are around people outside of your immediate family.
Please enjoy your holiday. We look forward to the safe and healthy return of our students and staff on Monday, November 30th.

"Generation Texas Week in SBISD"
November is “Generation Texas” Month!
Students all over Texas are finding their voices, setting goals, and taking steps toward securing their own successful futures as a part of creating a movement called Generation Texas (GenTX). GenTX promotes messages that encourage student to explore post-secondary opportunities aligned to T-2-4 and recognize their future is worth it. This is definitely on the minds of our students. Based on recent student survey data collected during guidance lessons, we found:
- 70% of our students wanted help exploring career options and making plans for college
- 73% of our students said they wanted help improving their grades
To promote GenTX Week, we encourage our students to participate in our College & Career Week activities. We are committed to building a college bound culture for all our students. Please see the flyers below for more information about College & Career Week and GenTX Parent Sessions.
