Headed to Semifinals!

The Mustang football team is headed to Superior this weekend to face off against Clark Fork. A win this weekend means we will be heading to Billings for a battle for State Championship at the Rocky Mountain College football field next weekend. They have worked hard and practiced relentlessly. If you can come cheer them on tomorrow morning, their bus leaves at 8:30 am, and I know they would love to see the entire Mustang nation lining the street waving them off. Lots of excitement around here!

Senior Retreat Update

Senior retreat dates have been moved to December 8-9 to accommodate the football schedule and at the suggestion of the retreat director. Parents watch for the confidential letter coming from the retreat team about the senior retreat. The team is excited for this retreat and excited to move this portion of the senior retreat to the fall so it doesn't get cancelled, as happened last year. Please know that we are planning for a fun day retreat for the spring with Deacon Bob that the kids and Deacon work together to plan. There will be a parent informational meeting on Thursday, the 21st at 6:30, where you can meet the fall retreat leader and have any questions answered. Please let us know if you can't attend, but have questions.

Adopt an Airman Program

Adopt an Airman is a new program at Malmstrom AFB designed to match interested Airmen with volunteers from the local community. Airmen who choose to participate are interested in meeting members of the Great Falls community. These citizens can provide a powerful “home - away -from -home” experience to young Airmen that are often away from their homes for the first time. After the Holiday Social, approved community members will be paired with at least two Airmen from the 341st MW for a one time dinner with the possibility of a long term connection, should the participants desire.

Contact 1st Lt Joshua Farris at joshua.farris.5@us.af.mil for information about the informational social coming up on November 21st from 5:30-7:30.

Quarter grades are out

Please check on Renweb for quarter grades. Deacon Bob is working hard every week to keep students who are struggling connected with the assistance we can offer. We'd like all students to be successful.

We sent out absence letters for any students who were at the 5 day mark or better in classes just to help all parents be aware of what might be an area of concern heading into the second half of the semester. Please give us a call if you think we have errors in our reporting. It's pretty crazy here in the mornings, and its easy to mix up our recording if we get distracted. If your child is getting close to the 10 day rule, which is set by the Catholic Schools of Montana, please give me or Monica a call and let's make sure we have some notes in the system documenting those medical issues or family emergencies clearly. If you have already done that, don't worry. You just got the letter because the system identified your child as a student in the 5 range. We want to have good documentation for absences if it goes over 10. Some examples of documentation that we already have noted are students with regular medical appointments, bereavement, or school-related absences.

Thanks for all your help in providing a positive and supportive environment for your child to learn.
