Mrs. Escely Marr, Counselor P-Z
I believe that one of the most important roles of a school counselor is to be there for my students and embrace what makes you unique. My office is always an open and safe space so feel free to stop by and say hi! I am looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know you!
EASTER SEALS THERAPY SERVICES OFFERED AT CJHS!
Easter Seals and CCS are currently working together to bring therapy services to CJHS students! Easter Seals is already servicing two of our buildings and now will be extending into CJHS!
Therapy services are offered once a week for 30 minutes a session during school hours. Due to the current health crisis, therapy services are currently being done online via zoom. Students will have a private area in our building to meet with their therapist utilizing their CCS issued Chromebook.
If you're interested in your student receiving these services, please reach out to your students counselor now for more information.
You can find more information on Easter Seals at their website.
HAVEN Virtual Programs
HAVEN is offering virtual programming for schools on healthy relationship skills, media literacy, and consent. Our goal is to build spaces where students can have authentic conversations on these topic and can build resiliency. Feel free to check out the menu of programs which offers more details on each topic broken down by grade.
HAVEN is also offering a young women’s leadership development course virtually called SPARK. Our goal is to create a space where young women and girls in can with each other to talk about topics on what it means to be a woman in our culture. The program is designed to foster prosocial and emotional skills to build resiliency and leadership skills in young women and girls. SPARK will culminate in a media project that participants will showcase virtually at the end of the school year. Please take a look at the flyer for more information.
