Assuring Learning Excellence and Readiness for a Changing World
Congratulations to our Girls Ski Team!
Our girls' ski team has won the section for the 7th year in a row and will be competing in the state ski meet on Wednesday, February 13. We will have a state send-off pepfest between 6th and 7th hour on Monday.
The schedule is linked in the calendar below, or you can find it on our staff website.
Conferences
Adaptability, core value #5! Thank you for being flexible and supporting the date change for conferences.
Conferences will be Monday, February 11th from 3:30 - 7:30. There will be a registration meeting for families with students in grades 9-11 at 5:00 in the auditorium. There will be AP meetings in the cafeteria at 4:30 and 6:40. The dinner breaks will be as follows:
2nd floor: 5:00
3rd floor: 5:30
1st floor and annex: 6:00
During conference night, our 8th grade families will be coming to a registration meeting at 6:30pm in the auditorium.
You may have students coming to visit you during conferences to find out more about the classes you teach to help them make informed decisions when registering. Please welcome those students and have information available to them about your courses.
Champion Students
Please call your Champion Student's parents and invite them to conferences on February 11th. You are welcome to call more parents to invite them to come, but we need everyone to call their Champion Student's parents and make a personal invite. Thank you!
PLCs on Tuesday
Please bring data from your final exam to review with your PLC and utilize one of the student work protocols.
Prior to our PLC, if you would like help determining which protocol might be best for your team, please contact Kai for any assistance you might need. Here is a link to the protocols.
Staff Meeting
Wednesday, February 13, is the day we have designated as your time to meet with your Life Journey group. You can meet during the regularly scheduled staff meeting time, or you can change your group's meeting; just be sure to meet sometime this week. Here is the link to the assignment.
Read through the first page and complete the activity on your own. The second page provides you with the questions you will discuss with your group.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
Snow Week
Next week is Snow Week (I know, every week in 2019 has been snow week so far).
Dress up days are as follows:
Monday - PJ Day
Tuesday - Dress up as your favorite character
Wednesday - Farmer/Animal
Thursday - Twins
Friday - White Out
Let's get out of these winter doldrums and have some fun with the kids this week. Show your school spirit by dressing up! Get together with your friends and make some plans, be creative, and send me pictures each morning. I will send a google survey to students to vote for the best pictures each day. Those with the most votes for the week will be rewarded with a fabulous prize!
The Snow Week Volleyball Tournament will be held in the gym on Monday, February 11th at 7:30pm.
Juniors and Seniors will be voting for King candidates during Scarlet time on Wednesday, February 13.
On Friday, February 15, we will have an alternate schedule with 33-minute class periods in the morning, and school-wide activities in the afternoon, culminating with the crowning of our Snow King.
We do have a dance scheduled Friday night, and we need chaperones! Please consider chaperoning the dance. It is typically an easy supervision; you get to hang out with some other fun staff members, and there is a chance you will be able to leave early (we need most supervision from after the basketball game until 10:30).

The breakfast begins at 7:00am; program begins at 7:15am and usually lasts about 30 minutes. You are welcome to come whenever you are able.
