ICCS Mission Statement:
ICCS WELCOMES SMCS
The ICCS Panthers officially welcomed the St. Margaret Catholic School Vikings to campus this week. SMCS 5th-8th Grade students and teachers are utilizing space on the 3rd floor for face-to-face learning until their school campus is safe to return to. This temporary option is allowing the SMCS teachers and students to experience their first full week of in-person learning for the 2020-2021 school year.
**ICCS and SMCS drop off and pick up times are staggered in an effort to keep traffic lines flowing smoothly.

MERCY MATTERS, BY ROSE VIAU, DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
“Love is Kind.” (1 Corinthians 13:4)
Love or Charity enables one to love as God Himself loves, to love God above all things and one’s neighbor as oneself.
Over the next few weeks we will be focusing on Charity. Each morning we will be saying the Act of Love prayer.
Act of Love
O my God, I love thee above all things with my whole heart and soul, because thou art all good and worthy of all my love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of thee. I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon for all whom I have injured. Amen
The Act of Love prayer brings to mind this Gospel passage from Matthew. (MT 22:35-40)
A Scholar of the law asked Jesus,
“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”
He said to him, “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."
This is the greatest and the first commandment.
The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

PRAYER AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS
O Mary, you shine continuously along our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the Cross were near to the pain of Jesus, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman people, know what we need, and we trust that you will provide for those needs so that, as at Cana of Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us, He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and took up our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
