LAJH Guidance News
We are in the last quarter of the school year, and it is important for every student to do their best in all of their classes. In order to pass any class for the school year, students must accumulate 240 percentage points or a 60% average from all four quarters. If your child is taking a Civics class, 280 percentage points or a 70% average is recommended, due to the End of the Year Exam. Please encourage your child to study for the Civics EOC, because the exam is 30% of their final grade. The following suggestions or plan of action can help your child finish out the school year strong.
Plan of Action:
1. Students should get organized, use a planner, and check on their grades daily in FOCUS.
2. Complete all assignments and study for quizzes/tests.
3. Take advantage of any extra credit opportunities.
4. Communicate with their teachers about tutoring days/times.
5. If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to get/complete make-up work from their teacher(s) in a timely manner.
Listen to the catchy tune below to prepare for any test!

Support for Military Students @ LAJH
The Military and Family Life Counseling program provides a wide range of support to military children and youth, family members, and staff who work with children of military parents. All MFLC services and programs take place at the school and are designed to occur during times that do not interfere with core academic classes. All services are available at no cost to military families, and are confidential with the exception of child abuse/neglect, domestic violence and other duty-to-warn situations. A child must be signed up for the program in order to participate in small group and one-on-one activities.
If you would like for your child to participate in the Military and Family Life Counseling program at LAJH, please contact Arlett Sabella at 904-484-8445 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
