Happy Holidays! What a great year it has been! We are so thankful to be able to work with your children each and every day. Thank you to all who donated to our Thanksgiving Meal, everyone enjoyed the food and the fellowship. Thank you to all who purchased Cookie Dough as well. The fundraiser was very successful.

Looking ahead to December, there are many reminders listed in this S'more. Please read carefully to learn about Early Dismissal Days, Holiday closures and Family Events at the Community Center.

With the weather turning much colder, please dress your children in appropriate clothes to play outdoors. This pertains to Preschoolers to the Fifth graders. We try to get outside everyday to breathe in fresh air.

The recent weather forecasts about winter weather for 23-24 season seems to be predicting much snow than the past few years. If inclement weather would occur and schools would close, please check the WGAL Channel to see if GEARS is listed for a delay or closure. We will also post weather delays and closings on the Bright Wheels app as well. New this year, our weather delays and closures will also be shared on ABC 27 WHTM station as well.

We hope to see many GEARS Families at our "Spaghetti with Santa" Event on Friday, December 8th, from 5-7 pm. Fee for the night is to bring a "Non Perishable" food item for the Elizabethtown Food Cupboard. Enjoy a great meal, photos with Santa and Christmas Bingo with Prizes!

Ms. Caitlin joined GEARS Kids Center in September of 2022 as our Site Director of the Community Center and our Kindergarten Wrap Around Teacher. She holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Caitlin is very creative in planning enrichment activities for her students. The students are always engaged in learning. Caitlin always has her lesson plans completed weeks ahead. We are very fortunate to have her as part of our Kids Center Staff.

Ms. Katelyn joined GEARS Kids Center in 2016. She holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Katelyn is our Site Director at Bear Creek Before and After School Program. This is our largest site with over 50 students. Katelyn provides interactive and fun activities for the students in her care. Another positive attribute that she possesses is open communication with her parents.

We are fortunate to have Katelyn on our Kids Center Staff.
