First Day of School Reminders 2020-2021 School Year

September 3rd - First Day of School
Tomorrow, Thursday, September 3rd, is the first day of school. Students should be working on assignments from 7:40 - 10:40 a.m. Teachers will upload all work for the week by 7:10 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday). Students will open the Google Classroom to see the weekly plan and know what they are supposed to work on. As students complete assignments, they will upload them to the Google Classroom.
Also tomorrow, students will have periods 1, 3, and 5 (11:15, 12:15, and 1:15). Before first period, students need to go to their school email to find the Google Meet codes so they can access their virtual classrooms.

Google Meet
Google Meet is the program that students will use for their virtual classroom. Teachers will have set times for Google Meets. Periods 1, 3 and 5 are on Mondays and Thursdays. Periods 0, 2, 4 and 6 will be on Tuesdays and Fridays.
You will notice on Wednesdays our teachers will have set office hours.

CTE 1:00 - 2:00
Electives 1:30 - 2:30
Students will be able to join those Google Meets to ask questions about their daily assignments.

Grading, Assessments, and Attendance
For distance learning, we are using our traditional grading scale. We also have established a late work policy. Please make sure you read the grading and assessment document, which can be found on our website.
Attendance - you will handle attendance the same way that you do in a normal year. You need to notify the attendance office by email, phone, or through Family Access. We have further information on the website.

Student Schedule Issues?
Is your student missing a class in their schedule? Does your student have the same class twice during the day? There might be a reason your student needs a schedule change. We take schedules changes up through the first 10 days of the semester.
To request a schedule change, students need to send an email to their counselor. Here is a list of our counselors:
