A Message From Mr. DiFilippo
We've made it through our first few days of Digital Learning! We had a few hiccups at the beginning but it seems as though we've worked through most of them. I look at those challenges as learning opportunities. When things don't go as planned, we learn to problem solve, keep our cool, have a positive outlook and above all, to persevere!
I hope you all enjoy your weekend, spend time with family, and relax. We look forward to welcoming the students back on Monday morning for our first full week of school!
Your Prinicipal,
Mr. DiFilippo
Dyer Meal Service
Lunch will be served daily at Dyer Elementary from 10:30-12:30*. Parents are encouraged to follow the grade level lunch schedules listed below to ensure their student(s) are not missing synchronous instruction.
K - 11:30 - 12:30
1st - 11:45 - 12:45* (First grade students may come up until 12:45)
2nd - 10:45 - 11:45
3rd - 10:30 - 11:30
4th - 10:30 - 11:30
5th - 11:30 - 12:30
Parents should drive through the bus lane to receive meals. Lunch and breakfast for the following day will be served at this time. The breakfast and lunch menus can be found at: https://gwinnett.nutrislice.com/menu/dyer-elementary
Please note that the menus are subject to change based on availability from our suppliers.
In order for our School Nutrition Team to adequately prepare, parents are asked to complete the electronic Dyer Meal Order Form, by 10PM each night prior to pick up the following day. The link to this form can also be found on our school website under the Cafeteria tab.
Meals will be available for pick-up Monday-Thursday. Thursday's pick-up will include meals for both Thursday and Friday.
Students will need their Student ID cards. This allows us to process and properly account for the meal. ID cards were included in the student supply bags that were distributed on Monday, 8/10; they were placed in a plastic zippered pouch to help keep them protected. These Student IDs have a scannable bar code, not to be confused with the laminated eCLASS Log In cards.
The student does not need to be present to receive a meal. A parent/guardian may pick up a meal for their child, but they must have the Student ID card in order to validate their child’s enrollment and eligibility.
Students will be charged for their meals based on their current eligibility of Free, Reduced, or Full Pay. You can fill out the Free and Reduced application and renew your status for the 2020-2021 school year by clicking HERE.
Students will be able to pick up a meal at any school within the Mountain View Cluster. Please note, if you will be picking up at an alternate school, you will need to fill out that school's electronic Meal Order Form (located on each school's website).
There will be no charging of meals and there will be no alternate meals provided to those without method of payment.
In order to limit direct contact, we strongly encourage parents to add money to their child’s account via MyPaymentsPlus. However, we will still accept cash payment if needed.
