The Carleton Chronicle
A weekly update from Carleton Middle School
Greetings from Carleton!
Welcome Back Carleton Family.
In the spirit of the season, I wish all of you a Happy New Year! My best wishes to you for a healthy and prosperous 2018.
For those that visit our parking lot before or after school, I would encourage you to take a few moments and read Clark's Corner. Please let me know if there is anything we could do to make our parking lot more efficient or safer for our students.
There is also a Booster Club meeting on January 10th at 6pm in the Media Center. We will begin discussions about our 8th Grade Farewell party, so don't miss out. Hope to see you all soon and it feels good to be back into a routine again!

Clark's Corner
First, I want to welcome all of the students back to school. Despite the displeasure many of them likely express about getting out of a warm bed and into the cold air, Carleton's students have been back at work and smiling while doing it. We truly have a fantastic community.
A few reminders as we seek to create an environment that is safe for our children and allows for a punctual entrance to school.
When dropping your children off or picking them up please pull forward. All parking lot doors are open at 7:30 and students dropped off in the back of the building can enter from the back. This allows students to get in quickly without backing up 15 mile. Pulling forward after school and to the back of the building also allows our busses to get into the lot so they can get the Carleton students home safely and head off to the elementary schools.
Please encourage your children to wear the warm clothes you provide them with when leaving school. You are free to use the line "Mr. Clark says no one looks cool with frost bite." It is cold out there.
