The Carleton Chronicle

A weekly update from your principal, Mr. Kausch.

Greetings from Carleton!

Welcome Back Carleton Family.

In the spirit of the season, I wish all of you a Happy New Year! My best wishes to you for a healthy and prosperous 2017.

For those that visit our parking lot before or after school, I would encourage you to take a few moments and read Clark's Corner. I will also follow up with a "robo call" message for our families to inform them of a few changes to help with our traffic flow and allow our students to enter the building quickly. Please let me know if there is anything we could do to make our parking lot more efficient or safer for our students.

There is also information about our Ski Club in this edition of the Chronicle and we have an upcoming booster meeting on February 6th at 6pm in the Media Center. Hope to see you all soon and it feels good to be back into a routine again!

Clark's Corner

Welcome back! I hope that all of you have been able to enjoy the break with your friends and family.

Prior to the break Mr. Kausch and I have spent some time looking at improving our parking lot procedures in hopes of making it a little bit safer. We hope to work with you in making a few small changes that will make morning drop off more efficient.

First, at 7:30 not only are the rear and front doors open, doors 7 and 12 on the parking lot side of the building are unlocked. This will allow you to pull all the way forward towards the rear of the building, and insure no student is out in the cold for too long.

Second, please remember that door 12 is open at 7:15 for any student wishing to have breakfast.

Finally, we appreciate your cooperation in pulling forward and not blocking the bus lanes both in the morning and afternoon as our busses must get in and out of the parking lot efficiently so they can drop of your children and be on time for their elementary school pick up.

Thank you,

Mr. Clark

Ski Club

Next Thursday, January 12th students will learn about our Ski Club during all three lunches. In short, the club is for all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students interested in skiing or snowboarding at Mt. Holly on Fridays, after school, through the months of January and February.

After the students receive the information regarding the club, parents will have an opportunity to learn about our Ski Club at an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 18th at 6:30pm in the Media Center.

If you are unable to attend and would like more information please contact Monica and Matt Orlando at 586.264.2798.
