A Message to our Bears...

Primary Bears-

As we shared last week, many of you have seen information about the Seesaw platform through various assignments, homework, activities, etc.a few times a week. Our goal is to get face to face students familiar with this platform for learning. Our reasoning is that if we were to experience a shut-down due to Covid, or perhaps a student needed to quarantine, the teachers will use Seesaw for instruction. We don't want our students falling behind. We also want to ease any frustration you might experience if we need to go virtual for any reason.

What can you do to help? If you have questions or are struggling with this platform, please reach out to your child's teacher. We want any sort of transition to be as easy as possible. Our Primary Team is planning ahead and being proactive heading into cold/flu season and student success is a priority! Having some understanding of it will help in the event we need to go virtual. Reach out to your child's teacher if you have questions.

Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

Sincerely,

Shelley Keck

October 19- Parent Conferences

October 19 is a student holiday. Teachers will set aside time for parent conferences. Be on the lookout for sign up slots for parent conferences.

Car Line Reminders

A couple of car line tips:

1. In the morning, students may be dropped off at either car line- to ease traffic, if you come from 775 area, use the front of the school. If you come from 87, consider entering through Alexandria street.

2. In the afternoons, you must have a school issued car tag. Please send $5 with a note if you need another tag.

What to do if your child is sick?

Here is a quick guideline for what to do if your child is sick and you aren't sure what to do:

1. Have child stay home.

2. Consult your family pediatrician regarding concerns. They should be able to provide guidance upon when to come back to school.

3. Email the nurse if you have further questions and she will provide information. priclinic@lvisd.org

Breakfast and Lunch Information

Click here for menus and information on lunch accounts.

How does your child go home?

Transportation changes must be called into the front office by 2:30 each day. Mrs. Kathy communicates to the classroom teacher. Do not email, text, or send a Remind message to a teacher with changes. If the teacher is out sick, the message won't make it to the substitute.

Frequent changes cause confusion and worry for our children.

If you must pick your child up before the end of the school day, please stay in your car and call the school office at 830-779-6660. Pick ups must occur prior to 2:30!

Lost and Found

Please label everything with your child's name- jackets, lunch boxes, water bottles. Your items miss you!
