LIS Tiger Talk
November 10, 2022
Principal's Update
Tiger Families,
This week and throughout the year, it is my sincere hope that each veteran feels our gratitude and appreciation for their sacrifices. As like many of you, there are veterans in my life who I am honored to know and love. My late grandfather served in WWII and my brother-in-law served as a marine in Afghanistan. To all of those who have and are currently serving our country, thank you and Happy Veterans Day!
Next week is the last week of our 'Pass It On' food drive. Please consider donating items to support Loveland families. Check out the specific information below about items assigned to each homeroom. Students will be delivering items at the end of next week.
5th Grade Families- Next week is Camp Kern! I am so excited for our Tigers to get outdoors and make some memories. If you have any questions, please reach out to our staff. There is more information included below.
Have a great 3-day weekend! Go Tigers!

5th Grade Camp Kern Trip is Next Week!
Camp Dates by Homeroom
November 16th and 17th:
Browning, Young, Rodriguez, Waple, Konz, and Barbara
November 17th and 18th:
Clayton, Burkhardt, Barnes, Papa, Coldiron, and Bush
Arrival/Pick Up: Students should arrive at school at their normal starting time on their camp day. We will leave school by bus at 9:15 a.m. and return the following day after lunch at approximately 12:30 p.m. Students will be dismissed upon arrival at school the following day. Students will need to get picked up at the back of the building by the swings at 12:30pm.
Drop Off of Camp Gear: Students who ride the bus must drop off camp gear the evening before school or you must drop it off the morning of your trip. NO GEAR IS ALLOWED ON THE BUSES. Door 9 will be open after school Tuesday, November 15th until 9:00 pm for the first group and Wednesday, November 16th for the second group. This door is in the back of the school closest to the playground swing set. These doors lead to the cafeteria. You will find your teacher's name on a table where to drop your items. Label all items coming to Camp (jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, etc..). Be sure to label luggage and sleeping bags. If the weather is calling for any rain or snow, put bags/sleeping bags and pillows in a large trash bag with the child's name using tape and a sharpie marker. Extra socks and shoes are never a bad idea for camp. Kids will be walking in the woods and through creeks and tend to get muddy.
Check out the Parent Letter for the schedule of events, what to pack and what not to pack and more.
Please reach out to our staff if you have any questions.
