Free Little Library
FJH Student Embassador's lead by Mrs. Koenig are going to place two Free Little Libraries in Alvin. One will be located at Fairview. Come by and get a free book.
Bookmark Design Contest
Bookmark Contest Winners
The bookmark design contest ended yesterday and the winning bookmarks were created by: Brody Gonzalez, Sophia Grisso, Randy Solinas, Samantha Sanchez, Elbryan Evans, Lauren Strange, Idalia Lira, Angela McKee, Sofia Trevino, Kinzi Middleton, Carli Borsche, Rhiannon Skelton, Yanessa Welch, and Brenda Gutierrez.
Guerrilla Games
We are gearing up for Guerrilla Games in March. We already have three students who have read six Lone Star books: Natalie Geren, Abigail Ptak, and Dustin Lozano. For the first time ever, we may need to have a school competition to see who will represent FJH in the district competition!
Library Statistics
We have checked out 2,803 items this year. In the month of October we saw 21 classes and had 1,359 students individually visit the library.
Houses of Fairview
As of the 1st nine weeks, Merlin is in the lead with 1512.1 points, Aplomado with 1307.2 points, Nankeen with 1053.6 points, and Taita with 532.6 points.
High Accelerated Reader point earners by house for the 1st nine weeks are: Dustin Lozano with 565.5 points, Daisy Reyes with 137.5 points, and Lauren Strange with 105.6 points, and Aiyana Pennington with 17.0 points.
