It is no secret that 3D printing technologies are saturating many industries around the globe. In the past 3 years, over 500 companies have entered the 3D printer market which can make purchasing a 3D printer overwhelming. You may not be aware that most of these commercial 3D printers are based on the open source 3D printer platform that was launched in 2007.
Open Source Classroom, LLC teaches the fundamental skills of learning how to build your own 3D printer based on the open source 3D printer platform. This is far more valuable that simply purchasing a commercial 3D printer.
This 3-Day workshop helps the participants to climb the 3D printing learning curve with incredible speed. Participants will learn how to build the “flexMendel”3D printer, which is one of the most advanced 3D printers in the open source community.
The Curriculum Revitalization Project in conjunction with area EFE Directors have teamed together to provide this exciting 3 day workshop. Participants are asked to register in pairs from the same school. Workshop includes training and the building of one 3D printer per pair of participants. Each pair of participants will then have the 3D printer to take back to their home school.
