LOTS of Important News & Reminders this week.....
Your students will be visiting the book fair during foreign language at the beginning of the week to preview and create their "Wish List" of books. On Wednesday, Nov. 16th we will visit the book fair as a class to purchase books! Please look over your child's wish list when they bring it home. If there are specific books you would like your child to purchase, please note this on their wish list and send it back with them on Wednesday (along with the right amount of money!) If you would like to leave the purchasing up to them... that's okay too!
2. Friendsgiving
On Thursday, November 17th we will be gathering together to celebrate our 2nd grade Friendsgiving. We are so excited for our 2nd grade students to have an opportunity to gather with friends, enjoy a delicious meal, & enjoy each other's company. Please click on the sign up genius below to send in a dish for our 2nd graders to enjoy!

3. FSA Family Thanksgiving
Also... on Thursday, November 17th the school will be hosting their FSA Family Thanksgiving feast! We hope you will join us at 6:00pm for some delicious food. For more information about signing up to help, please scroll down!
4. We are going to the AQUARIUM!
I know all of our 2nd graders are SO excited for our upcoming field trip to the aquarium. PreK-3rd Graders will be traveling to the aquarium on November 30th for an exciting day. Your students are bringing home their field trip information and permission form today! You will also be receiving an email this evening from Mrs. Sanders about this exciting day! Please read this information CAREFULLY! There are certain adjustments for this field trip. We will not be able to bring lunches, so you must fill out the permission form carefully to identify your child's lunch.
Field trip forms will be due Thursday November 17th. If students return their form by the due date... they will get an aquarium pencil! :D
5. Blessings in a Backpack
We are still collecting for Blessings in a Backpack, a local nonprofit that aims to curb childhood hunger by providing food to as risk children in our community. Grade 2 should bring Mac and Cheese Cups/Canned Pastas – like Ravioli, Spaghetti and others (individual servings)
6. Are you Going Out of Town?
If your family will be leaving early for Thanksgiving break or Winter break, please let me know now. This will greatly help with planning for end of the year lessons and events. Thank you!
