Message from Mrs. Cain
It is with great sadness that I share with you that Tegeler's namesake, Mr. Eugene Tegeler, passed away on December 14th. He was a great man, a man of strong character full of compassion for others.
Mr. Tegeler served with Pasadena ISD for 32 years holding numerous leadership positions before retiring in 1991. After retiring, he and his wife, Patsy, relocated to the Bryan-College Station area.
Throughout his career, Mr. Tegeler showed a special interest in students with unique needs, interests and abilities. He was a pioneer in our school district's vocational and alternative school initiatives.
Click here to read his obituary. Pay special attention to the note about Tegeler Career Center towards the end of the message. It warms my heart to know that the naming of our campus was so special to him. Before moving to College Station, he and his wife attended many Tegeler graduations.
Mr. Tegeler was a true Trailblazer. He set an example for all of us to respect and follow. His contributions to the students of PISD and our community are to be commended.
Please join me in praying for his family during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
