Space Academy Info:
Space Academy for Leading Students in Alabama (SALSA) is a program funded by the State of Alabama Legislature that awards a male and female student between the ages of 12 to 14 from every legislative district in Alabama a scholarship to attend a special session of Space Academy at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville Alabama.

Teams from Denton Magnet School of Technology finished as the middle school champion and runners-up of the VEX Robotics Alabama State Championship held at Auburn recently! The championship team, which finished undefeated in the competition, includes eighth-graders Kaylyn Fetherland, Hamza Mohamed, Bria Poellnitz and Gerren Rease, and seventh-graders Owen Freeman, Jack Hill and Jack Hoyle. The runner-up team includes eighth-graders Jordan Barron, Ethan Emonina and Daisy Taylor, and seventh-graders Jovanni Hernandez and Aiden Joiner. They now will go on to the VEX Robotics World Championships in Dallas!
Denton Magnet Cheerleading Tryouts
Cheer applications can be picked up from the front office or downloaded from the Denton Magnet website under the cheerleading page. Applications are due March 13th. Contact Mrs. Grimes with questions at cgrimes@mcpss.com
Tryout Requirements:
- Physical signed by a doctor and uploaded to Dragonfly
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must possess strong leadership skills academically and behaviorally
Spring Sports Are Here!
Support our Admirals by attending one of the soccer games at home! Games are at 3:30 and 4:30, respectively.
Our archery students competed in Regionals at Alma Bryant. They were fantastic!
