IMPORTANT STUDENT DROP OFF INFORMATION
Students arriving at school after the buses have departed in the morning need to be accompanied by a parent into the front office. This is for your child's safety. Thank you!
STUDENT FEES DUE SEPTEMBER 29
iPad (rental if applicable) and student fees are available to view in Skyward. Fees are due by September 29, 2017. You can view your student’s fees in Skyward Family Access under “Fee Management”. Families have two options for payment of student’s fees:
· Option #1 – cash or a check payable to FCE for the amount posted in fee management can be sent in with your child. Please indicate your child’s name and student ID number in the memo field. Your student’s ID number can be found in Skyward (your children also know this as their lunch number).
· Options #2 – pay via eFunds. There is a link to eFunds within the “Fee Management” section of Skyward on the upper right corner under “District Links”. Please note first time user will need to register in the new user area, you will also need to know your students six-digit student ID number. You can also click on the link here: https://eps.mvpbanking.com/cgi-bin/efs/login.pl?access=55481
When viewing student fees in Skyward Family Access, there will be multiple fees displayed that may look similar. However, for grades 1 through 4 there will be one for textbook fees and one for consumable fees. Kindergarten students will have a textbook, consumable and material fee. Textbook and consumable fees may include digital resources or periodicals depending on the grade level. If your student is renting an iPad, a separate fee will be listed.
If you have questions, contact FCE Treasurer, Holly Owens.

What To Do If You Suspect a Disability/Child Find
If your child is age 2 ½ through 21, attends any school within the Hamilton Southeastern Schools boundaries or you live in our community, and you suspect your child may have a disability, you should contact us for more information.
· For children at least two and a half years of age, but not yet age-eligible for kindergarten, you should contact the Preschool Coordinator at Brooks School Elementary School, 317-915-4250.
· For students who are eligible for kindergarten through age 21, you should contact your child’s teacher, school counselor or building administrator to discuss your concerns and explore the steps to be taken. If your child is not enrolled in public school, you should contact the counselor or building administrator in the building your child would attend if enrolled.

Response-to-Instruction (RtI)
RtI is a general education initiative designed to provide high quality instruction and interventions matches to student needs, and using learning rate over time and level of performance to make important educational decisions. The RtI model is based on a three-tiered model of service delivery with a focus on early intervention and prevention of academic and behavioral concerns. Data collected during this process provides valuable information regarding students’ educational progress and response to interventions. Students who do not demonstrate a response to well-implemented, scientifically-based interventions at the Tier 3 level would be referred for an educational evaluation to determine eligibility for special education. RtI is a component of HSE’s Child Find Process.
ON-LINE SCHOOL DIRECTORY
We have had a number of parents wanting to find ways to schedule playdates, parties, etc. with their children’s classmates. HSE has made this possible with our Online School Directory. This service is only available for those families that choose to “OPT IN”.
You may select what information you would like other parents to see (such as address, phone numbers) for birthday invitations and the like. If you would like to “OPT IN” please follow the steps below:
Login to Skyward
Click on “MY ACCOUNT” tab in the upper right corner
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find the School Directory section
- Choose which information you would like to share
- Click Save in the upper right corner
Please note that the only people that will have access to this, are the families at Fall Creek Elementary. If you have older children at other schools, their information will only be shared with the families at their school. We hope this will help our students to be able to stay connected outside of school hours
SAFE VISITOR BADGE
Anyone wishing to volunteer in the school must have a SafeVisitor ID Badge. Please note this policy also applies to anyone wishing to join students for lunch (after Labor Day). Simply follow the quick link on our FCE website to apply for a background check. This process takes 5-7 days.
